Welcome to the Caver.Tech HydroGeologic pages |
||
This page is designed to assist the display of surface hydrology data associated with the Fort Stanton Cave Hydrology System. Our initial goal is to provide information on the Government Spring resurgence of Snowy River by implementing specialized hardware developed by our data logging provider In-Situ. The new hardware is called Vu-Link and essentially is an additional surface data logger connected to an RT-200 data logger that will measure the depth and temperature of a surface water source such as Government Spring. This sampling of the surface water is at a different sample rate from the previous RT-100 logger that has been installed in spring vent. We plan to install an RT-200 logger that will interface with the new secure ramp flume installation currently in work by Michael McGee, the Roswell Field Office Hydrologist. The expectation is to provide data sampled several times a day to either the In-Situ HydroVu cloud application, or directly to this web page.

Field tests have started in the Fall of 2022 to verify potential operation at the Government Spring site and other related surface sites. The HydroVu chart below illustrates the default chart that is currently available, in this case the data logger is located in a fish pond. Data from both the RT-200 data logger in the pond is shown as well as the Vu-Link radio that transmits data to the cloud. |
